Brought some of Canada’s top CEOs and investors together over 10 weeks with 10 young entrepreneurs selected by application, ending with a cumulative pitch to Canada’s top investment firms (Rogers Ventures, Blackberry Partners Fund, etc). Speakers included the CEOs of Claymore Investments, Terracycle, Bluecat Networks, and the matchmaker behind Lady Gaga’s celebrity endorsement deal with Polaroid Corp.

Results: The 10 participants have since generated significant press and created thousands of jobs for the Canadian economy. One of the participants was named one of Toronto’s hottest young entrepreneurs by a national newspaper (The Globe and Mail) and sold numerous franchises. Founder2Founder was 1 of 154 participants selected from over 650 applications to be part of Startup Chile, a 6-month business incubator program run by the Chilean government that grants $40K in equity-free capital to selected foreign entrepreneurs, in exchange for mentoring local entrepreneurs and building the local entrepreneurial ecosystem.
